1.2 Time Limit: Once the 30-day period has expired from the date of receipt of the goods, we regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to process exchanges. It is important to initiate the exchange request within this time frame to be eligible for the exchange process.


1.3 Charges: While we do our best to accommodate exchanges, in some cases, additional charges may apply. These charges are implemented to cover administrative and handling costs associated with processing the exchange. 2. Damages and Issues: Upon receipt of your order, please inspect the item(s) and contact us immediately if you find any defects, damages, or if you received the wrong item. We will promptly assess the issue and take appropriate steps to rectify the situation.


3. Footwear Usage Disclaimer: Please kindly take note that our shoes are meticulously crafted to provide a unique barefoot walking experience. With the intention of emulating the sensation of walking without footwear, our shoes are constructed using soft and stretchable materials. Coupled with their thin soles, they enable wearers to enjoy a remarkably similar sensation to walking barefoot. However, it is essential to recognize that our shoes are not specifically designed for rigorous or extreme sporting activities. Consequently, in the event that the shoe incurs damage as a result of engaging in sports activities, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer a complimentary replacement for the shoe.


4. Exceptions/Non-Returnable Items: Certain items cannot be returned, including perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Additionally, we do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a specific item, please contact us. Please note that sale items and gift cards are not eligible for returns.


5. Exchanges: To be eligible for an exchange, your item must meet the following criteria:

a) The item must be in the same condition as when you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

b) You will need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.


6. Initiation of Exchange: To initiate an exchange, please contact us at If your exchange request is approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Exchanges made without prior notification will not be accepted.


7. Restocking Fee: In certain cases, we charge a restocking fee on returns.


8. Return Shipping Fee: The customer is responsible for bearing the return shipping fee.


9. Refunds and Order Cancellation: If your product is still being processed, you are eligible to cancel your order and receive a full refund. If your order has already been fulfilled and you have received a tracking number from The Courier Guy, Fast + Furious, DPD Laser, you must wait until the package arrives to initiate the return process.


10. Refunds for Returns: For returns requesting a refund, delivery costs and processing fees ranging from R150 to R600 may apply. These fees are intended to cover the expenses associated with the return process and will be deducted from the refund amount. 11. Returning Worn or Used Shoes: At Barestep, we value the satisfaction of all our customers and strive to maintain the highest standards of quality. To ensure fairness and transparency in our return process, we kindly request that returned shoes be in unworn and like-new condition. This means that the shoes should not show any signs of wear, including dirt, scuffs, or visible usage. We understand that returns are meant for assessing fit and comfort, and we are committed to accommodating such needs. However, shoes that have been visibly worn cannot be accepted for return. In cases where shoes are returned in a worn condition and this is evident upon inspection, we regret to inform you that we will be unable to process the return. In such instances, customers may be liable for return shipping costs up to 300 Rand. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring the quality and fairness of our return process.
